Meet Revolutionary War Hero Ned Hector
April 1, 7:00 p.m., The Arsenal, 30 Market Street, New Castle, Delaware
Meet African American Revolutionary War soldier Edward “Ned” Hector and hear his fascinating story! Hector was from Conshohocken, PA, and fought at the Battle of Brandywine. He was an artilleryman and a freed man. Portrayed by re-enactor Noah Lewis, this entertaining and interactive event is perfect for all ages.
This program is presented by the New Castle Historical Society and the Battell and Read Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. This lecture is made possible through the generosity of the Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation. $5 per person (NCHS/NSDAR members are free). Register here.
Meet Dr. Fred Magner, who will present on “Revolutionary War Medicine”

With 32 years of distinguished service as a medical Officer in the United States Army, Dr. Wagner re
tired with the rank of Colonel. He is a noted medical historian and shares his deep knowledge of medicine and history. A graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Dr. Magner has served as a Pentagon consultant, advising on the mobilization and coordination of medical forces across all service branches.
